Ingredients
INGREDIENTS FOR THE VANILLA ICE CREAM:

milk 250 ml
cream 250 ml
2 yolks
sugar 50 g
vanilla essence 2 tea spoons


INGREDIENTS FOR THE STRAWBERRY SAUCE IN BALSAMIC VINEGAR OF MODENA PONTI:

sugar 50 g
water 60 ml
wild strawberries 500 g
Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Ponti 3 tea spoons

Preparation
Boil milk with cream; when almost boiling, take it away from the stove and add the vanilla essence. Whip the yolks with sugar and pour them in the boiling milk. Stir well, put the pan back on the stove, on low heat, and keep stirring for 5-7 minutes, until the cream has thickened. Cool down in ice and process in an ice-cream maker, according to the instructions provided with the machine. For the sauce, sprinkle the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Ponti on the strawberries and let them stand for at least 1 hour. Mix the water with the sugar and keep it warm. Process the strawberries in a blender to get a puree and mix it with the sugar; warm it up and pour it on the ice cream. The sauce should not be prepared in advance, to preserve the flavour of the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Ponti.
